Dear Friends,

It is just over 3 months since my last communication and with recent government announcements on the cautious relaxation of virus controls I thought it important to update you on our own plans for restarting of services. Safety of our participants and staff is paramount. Many of our services are dependent on the availability and safe operation of facilities in the area and so service resumption will be driven by this and government guidelines on size of gatherings. You can find the details of the services in the table below.

It would remiss of me not to reflect on the work our teams have been putting in over the past months not least Julie Nethercote who has led the introduction of a modified play provision for our high needs children in close cooperation with Portsmouth City Council and The Solent Academies Trust

Our team at Landport Community Centre of Gavin Randall and Hollie Sherred have shown us how a small refocus can deliver great results by partnering with Radian Housing to fund a free meals service for vulnerable people in Portsmouth. In doing so we have forged strong partnerships with Jeanette Warren and her band of volunteers from the Lady Hamilton public house, Clare Martin at Pompey in the Community and various members of Portsmouth FC and the catering team from Havant and South Downs College. Hats off to the whole team who have now delivered over 5000 free meals!

Our offices in Copnor are staffed and you can call us for further advice on our services on 023 9267 1846 or email at enquiries@enableability.org.uk

We appreciate how recent months must have been very challenging for our service users and carers. All our team are keen to offer services as soon as government guidance allows and it is safe to do so for participants and staff alike.

Sincere regards,

Jon Muller
