A few weeks ago during the October half term, our Partnerships and Events Officer, Hollie, had the opportunity to talk a little about the continuing food projects that Enable Ability are running at their community centre at Landport.
With the help of the National Community Fund, Abri, Pompey in the Community and many more fantastic local businesses and individuals, we were able to provide over 8,500 cooked meals to nearby residents and families in need from March through to September 2020. A great achievement which would not have been possible without the sheer amount of help the charity received. We continued our quest through the October Half term, and are still running a smaller scale meal provision through this second Lockdown in November.
"It was a huge pleasure to talk with Liam Howes from Express FM. There is no better way than through our local radio stations to promote the fantastic work that has happened. We know that we aren't alone in the good we have done for the community, so it was lovely to share our progress. Running our food projects has really has brought the community together in what has been a really horrible year for many." Hollie, Partnerships and Events Officer at Enable Ability
