On Saturday 26th October the Saturday Club Playscheme for children with high-needs disabilities received a visit from some very special people.
Sensei John Brown and his team from the South of England Ju Jitsu Kai came along to present a cheque to recognise the total amount raised through his initiative to attempt the three peaks challenge in August 2019.
The Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks in England (Scafell Pike), Scotland (Ben Nevis) and Wales (Snowdon) in just 24 hours. The climbing team also comprised staff members from Enable Ability: Manager Richard Soutar, Advocacy Deputy Manager Robin Pryde-Jarman and Playscheme Leader Michelle Morgan.
As you will see from the images the collective amount raised for Enable Ability was a staggering £4,442!!!!
This will help continue our support to children with disabilities in Portsmouth and SE Hampshire.
Our thanks for this stellar result go to all the team and to John for his initiative and support in preparing the group for the gruelling challenge in front of them.
The staff and trustees of Enable Ability salute you.
Our thanks also to Martin Harris at MH Photography Hampshire for providing the images on the day.
