Wheelchair Basketball is a project within the Enable Ability charity that enables children, young adults and adults – with or without disabilities- to take part in a fun & exhilarating sport. It runs on a Wednesday evening, throughout the year, in Portchester.
We require a Project Leader to join our team for maternity cover of 12 months. Duties will include; supporting and managing a small team of volunteers to create and lead fun wheelchair basketball sports sessions (a small amount of support with personal care may also be required). Supporting a Level 2 coach in the running of the sessions and taking overall responsibility for health and safety, safeguarding, funding monitoring and compliance.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and creatively-minded person to further develop this well-established service. Good communication skills are essential along with the ability to interact well with young people and volunteers. Experience within the sport would be beneficial but is not essential. A full driving licence together with use of a car would be advantageous.

Enable Ability will provide regular supervision, a supportive working environment and opportunities for career development.
