Enable Ability will be taking over the day-to-day running of Landport Community Centre in Charles Street, Portsmouth from 1stJuly 2019. We require an enthusiastic and resourceful individual to act in a supporting role to both the Centre Administrator and the Café Manager. This flexible role will encompass the handling of the day-to-day needs of hirers and users – including the setting up of rooms and acting as the first point of contact outside of office hours. Café responsibilities will include the serving of food and beverages as well as some related kitchen duties and cash handling. As well as these everyday tasks you will be required to actively encourage young people with disabilities on work experience programmes to work alongside you to help them to gain vital employability skills.
Customer service skills and flexibility will be of fundamental importance to this role. An awareness of and ability to support young people with disabilities will also be key to this post.
